That’s intentional. Our pegs are designed for a snug first fit. Firm pressure helps them settle. Once in, they stay secure. If needed, a light sanding on the tip can make insertion easier.

Wood naturally expands and contracts. Once mounted, wall support and friction help keep small pegs in place. This flexibility is part of working with real wood — and helps everything find its balance.
